Authentication

Learn how to sign in, sign up, and manage your Synq Digital account.

Signing In

To access Synq Digital:

  1. Navigate to your Synq Digital URL
  2. Enter your email address
  3. Enter your password
  4. Click "Sign In"

Remember Me

You can check the "Remember Me" option to stay signed in on your device. Use this only on trusted devices.

Forgot Password

If you've forgotten your password:

  1. Click "Forgot Password?" on the sign-in page
  2. Enter your email address
  3. Check your email for password reset instructions
  4. Follow the link to reset your password

Creating an Account

If you don't have an account yet:

  1. Click "Sign Up" on the sign-in page
  2. Fill in the registration form:
    • Email: Your email address (will be used for login)
    • Password: Create a strong password
    • Confirm Password: Re-enter your password
    • Additional fields as required by your organization
  3. Review and accept terms of service (if applicable)
  4. Click "Sign Up"

Password Requirements

Your password must meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum 8 characters
  • At least one uppercase letter
  • At least one lowercase letter
  • At least one number
  • At least one special character

Account Verification

After signing up, you may need to verify your email address:

  1. Check your email inbox
  2. Click the verification link in the email
  3. You'll be redirected back to Synq Digital
  4. Sign in with your credentials

Signing Out

To sign out of your account:

  1. Click on your profile icon/name in the top-right corner
  2. Select "Logout" from the dropdown menu
  3. You'll be signed out and redirected to the sign-in page

Alternatively, you can click "Logout" directly from the sidebar navigation.

Account Security

Best Practices

  • Use a strong, unique password
  • Don't share your account credentials
  • Sign out when using shared computers
  • Enable two-factor authentication if available
  • Regularly update your password

Changing Your Password

To change your password:

  1. Go to ProfileSettings
  2. Navigate to the Security section
  3. Enter your current password
  4. Enter your new password
  5. Confirm your new password
  6. Click "Update Password"

Session Management

Active Sessions

You can view and manage your active sessions:

  1. Go to ProfileSettings
  2. Navigate to SecurityActive Sessions
  3. View all devices where you're signed in
  4. Sign out from specific devices if needed

Troubleshooting Authentication Issues

Can't Sign In

If you're having trouble signing in:

  1. Check your credentials: Ensure email and password are correct
  2. Check caps lock: Passwords are case-sensitive
  3. Clear browser cache: Try clearing cookies and cache
  4. Try a different browser: Rule out browser-specific issues
  5. Contact support: If issues persist, contact your administrator

Account Locked

After multiple failed login attempts, your account may be temporarily locked:

  • Wait 15-30 minutes before trying again
  • Use the "Forgot Password" feature to reset your password
  • Contact your administrator if the lock persists

Email Not Received

If you didn't receive a verification or password reset email:

  1. Check your spam/junk folder
  2. Verify the email address is correct
  3. Wait a few minutes (emails may be delayed)
  4. Request a new email if needed
  5. Contact support if emails aren't arriving

Role-Based Access

Your account may have different access levels:

  • Admin: Full access to all features including user management
  • User: Standard access to devices, media, playlists, and schedules
  • Viewer: Read-only access to view content

Your role determines which features you can access. Contact your administrator if you need different permissions.
